Oh, happy day! The lovely Cece of Mississippi Maven is back, and she doesn’t disappoint. We’re wishing we could dive through our computer screens and land in any one of the settings she chose for her post today.
When I think about “going green,” the first thing that comes to mind is energy conservation. Between the television, my computer and my multitude of lamps, I use plenty of electricity. And then, in a league all its own, is the air conditioner. These summer months it’s so easy to leave it on all day but I know I’d be making such a huge difference if I could make myself turn it off for a few hours. I know this would be much easier if I had a fabulous outdoor oasis to lounge in while I give my AC and my Entergy bill a break. Luckily plenty of people have had this idea in the past, and they serve as my “green-spiration.”
Pamela Pierce has the right idea with this poolside oasis. Plenty of shade without sparing the chic.
Love this funky seating arrangement from Vogue. All you need is a few friends and some margaritas.
Leave it to Kathryn Ireland to make the most wonderful rustic outdoor space. Although the views don’t hurt either.
Doesn’t this look like the perfect place for your morning (and afternoon) espresso?? Definitely worth being in the open. (from weheartit.com)
If I had this fun little cabana in my backyard I’d be having parties every night! I’ll let you all know when that happens.
I could definitely make this table scene happen. Now if only I also had a refurbished English country home like this one from Vogue….
